Out of the mouths of babes!

On Wednesdays, Jameson gets to go with Pat to pick up the "big boys" from school and then she drops Jameson off at home. She always has fun stories about how Jameson loves to show off for the big boys in the van. So a few Wednesdays ago, I go outside to get Jameson out of the van and Pat gets out of the van and is laughing so hard that she can't even talk. She slides the van door open and I hear peals of laughter from the "big boys" and there is Jameson with a huge grin on his face yelling at the top of his lungs , "Have Diarrhea, Have Diarrhea!". Oh he was so pleased with himself and everyone was in fits of laughter. Apparently he overheard Pat say it when she was changing his diaper and he just loves to try out new words!

So we had fun with it and called Daddy at work to tell him the good news, and left a message for Auntie Mary sharing the news as well. Luckily Jameson forgot about it by the next day.

Our American Idol

Jameson just loves his "Noah's kids" group that he gets to go to while Mommy and Daddy are in church. When we went to pick him up after the service yesterday, the teacher was laughing and told us that soon after we left Jameson found a drum and proceeded to entertain the whole class for quite awhile banging on the drum and singing "London Bridge is falling down" at the top of his lungs. Oh my.....I can just imagine the calls we are going to get from his teachers once he is in school.

Haircuts All Around!

Wow! I am long over due on this blog and have so many stories to share. This one is one of my favorites though.....

Daddy got his hair cut....then Jameson.....then it was time for Tucker's haircut.

Jameson did really good with his first official haircut and talked about it for days after. Tucker was scheduled for his first grooming/haircut a few days after Jameson's. When the time came, I loaded Tucker and Jameson in the car and we were talking about how Tucker was going to get a haircut too. Everything was just fine until we got to the grooming salon.

The minute I handed Tucker and his leash over to the groomer.....my happy little Jameson started screaming, "get him, get him, Tucker come home! " He was very upset and on the verge of tears. As Tucker disappeared through the doors the tears came pouring down his sweet little cheeks. He kept saying " get him, get him". The groomer kindly told Jameson that it was her turn to play with Tucker for a little while.

We left and I realized what a bond these two have. Needless to say, Jameson and Tucker were very excited to see each other when we picked Tucker up. Both boys now have nice haircuts!

News Flash: Issaquah, WA - Fred Meyer

Monday, March 24, 2008 7:15 PM

Several women reported being "flashed" by an almost 2-year old while shopping at the local Fred Meyer. While they innocently shopped for their weekly groceries, the offender, one Jameson DeHart would capture their attention by saying "Hi!".

Once they responded, he would lift his shirt and sweater all the way up to his face, exposing his chest and belly and would yell "look at my belly button".

He is quite an adorable little guy and most of the victims were amused, however bystanders say that the mother of the little guy was hiding under the grocery cart with a very red face.

Find eggs??

Jameson really got into Easter this year. Grammy and Poppa sent him an Easter "bucket" that he just loved. He keeps trying to find more cookies in the eggs. He shakes them and hands them to us and says "open, it...cookies?" Well, by now all the cookies are long gone....but he keeps on trying!

He loved the egg hunt that we did inside the house on Easter morning. In fact, we did two rounds of egg hunts he loved it so much. This morning the first thing out of his mouth was "Find eggs?"

I spoke too soon.......

So last night, Jameson is in the hallway and says, "oh no!" and points to the wall that has some red crayon marks on it. ( I thought I had hidden all the crayons for supervised crayon time ), so I said, "oh no, who did that?" He said as serious as can be, "Daddy did it, no no Daddy". So I played into it and said, "Daddy did this? I'm going to ask Daddy when he gets home." Then he said, " Jameson did it". I was hardly able to contain my laughter.

So when Christian got home the three of us went over to the wall and I said, " Jameson, who did this?" He looked around, knowing he couldn't blame it on Daddy and said, "Tucker". We just cracked up.

"I Did It!"

Some kids try and hide it from their parents when they make a mistake or do something naughty. Jameson likes to announce it by yelling "I did it!".

He then leads us to the scene of the crime, where we are bound to find spilled juice, a ripped book, coloring on the wall, or Rusty trying to lick butterfly stickers off of his fur. Jameson is not proud when he says "I did it!" He always has this "guilty/I know I am in trouble" look on his face, but I guess he wants to be forthcoming about what he has done.

We hope he will always be this honest! :)
